Robert E. Braswell, 77, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 2, 1947 in Astoria, NY.

Bob lived most of his life in the Pungo area of Virginia Beach. He attended Kellam High School and Pungo University! After spending time in the Navy, he has been a self-employed businessman currently owner/operator of Back Bay House and Lawn for 27 years. A man of great integrity and compassion, Bob made significant contributions to his community. He served as the Past President of Creeds T-Ball, Royal Arch Chapter 1607, Khedive Shrine and past Master of Princess Anne Lodge #25, he exemplified leadership and dedication, inspiring many through his service. His involvement with the Pungo Strawberry Festival as an Executive Committee Board members showcased his passion for bringing the community together and his love for music, bands, and playing the organ.

He is predeceased by his father, Ernest Braswell; mother, Cecelia Braswell Grennan; sisters, Elsie Daniel, "Teeny" Robinson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Phoebe Braswell; children, Brian Braswell (Anna), Todd Braswell (Christina), Kristy Zahn (Jimmy); grandchildren, Amanda, Lane, Evan, Mason, Drew, Logan, Madison, Layla, Caiden, Colby; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
