Ryan Trahan, 41, passed away with much sadness on July 14, 2024.
Funeral services for Ryan will be held Thursday, July 18, 2024; at 6:00 PM at Matthews Funeral Home in Jennings, LA. The family is requesting visiting hours from 10:00 AM until the time of the service, at Matthews Funeral Home in Jennings, LA.
Ryan leaves behind his two children Camerin Trahan and Addison Trahan of Crowley, LA; the mother of his children Shelly Trahan; his parents Rayln Trahan and his wife Joetta Trahan; his mother Christine Breaux and George Bourne; sister Amy Miller (Will) and nephew Lance Miller; stepbrother Joseph Stewart and stepsister Hannah Hoffpauir; and his fiancé Marinn Lejeune. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He will be forever missed and cherished.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Laura Breaux, maternal grandfather Rawlin Breaux, paternal grandfather Alan Trahan and his wife Joyce Trahan and paternal grandmother Bonita Trahan; stepbrother Daniel Stewart; Uncle Kenny Daigle.
Ryan was an extremely loyal and dedicated father, son, brother, and friend; he never let anyone go without and was always willing to help anyone he could. He loved his children and was extremely supportive of whatever they wanted or needed. His loyalty wasn't limited to only his family but also to his community and country; Ryan was a fireman, police officer, and served in the Louisiana National Guard being deployed once to Operation Iraqi Freedom and numerous natural disasters.
In lieu of flowers the family has request donations to defer funeral cost.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home in JENNINGS, LA. 511 N. Cutting Avenue Jennings La. 70546.

I first met Ryan when he went to Iraq with my son David for Operation Iraqi Freedom. He and David were really good friends. It is so sad to hear this. Prayers to his family.
