Sandra Lee Munch, 81, passed away on Friday November 15, 2024 in Chesapeake Beach, MD where she was surrounded by family. Sandy was predeceased by her husband, Michael Dennis Munch who passed away in 1997.
Born in East Stroudsburg, PA, she was the daughter of John and Marion (Starner) Mery of East Stroudsburg, Pa. Sandy spent her entire life in East Stroudsburg prior to moving to Ocean City, MD in 2022. She graduated from East Stroudsburg High School in 1961, where she was captain of the Cheerleading Squad.
Sandy worked in the cafeteria at the East Stroudsburg School District for her entire career. She also worked part-time at the Big "N" Department Store in Stroudsburg, but she could always be found cheering on her children and grandchildren at their sporting events in the evenings and on weekends.
Sandy was an avid sports fan and attended many games of her favorite teams - the New York Football Giants and the Washington Nationals. She loved to walk and could frequently be seen walking throughout the town. Sandy always enjoyed going to the beach, first the Jersey shore and later Ocean City, MD.
She is survived by her children Michael Munch and his wife Corey of Easton, PA, Daniel Munch and his wife Sherri of East Stroudsburg, PA, and Denise Larson and her husband Mark of Chesapeake Beach, MD, as well as grandchildren Nicholas Munch of El Paso, TX, Lauren Munch of East Stroudsburg, PA, Ryan Munch of Elizabethton, TN, Drew Munch of East Stroudsburg, PA, and Ava Munch of Easton, PA, and great-granddaughter Kinsley Rebetje of East Stroudsburg, PA.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. A private burial will follow.

I'm sorry I could not attend Sandy's service. I use a walker and am unsteady on my feet. We used to rent from Fred Hummel when our children were little. I am her cousin. My parents were Helen (Starner) and Jim Price. Mom passed in 1986 and my father in 2019. I remember all the times we visited with her,Mike,Aunt Marion and Uncle John. She was just a lovely and kind person. I've thought of her often in the past. My best to all her family and I'm very sorry for your loss.
