Sarah Toombs Obituary

Publish in a newspaper

Sarah Beth Toombs, 48, of Noblesville, passed away on October 4, 2025 at her home. She was born on March 23, 1977 in Anderson, Indiana, to Richard and Rixena Toombs, whom she loved more than life. Sarah graduated from Lapel High School and Motlow College in Tennessee with a degree in nursing. She was a Registered Nurse and worked in the Emergency Room at several hospitals throughout her career, but more recently at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. Nursing was Sarah's true calling in life. Her passion for helping others was evident through her work.
Sarah loved animals but especially her dog, Lucy, who was a neighborhood favorite, and her cat, Luna. She was incapable of passing a pet store without taking home a new furry friend. She was an avid lover of all things outdoors including fishing and hiking. One of her greatest adventures was seeing the Northern Lights in Alaska. She loved playing guitar, jamming with other guitar (or ukulele) players, and listening to music. She also loved socializing with her friends and neighbors, which brought her great joy.
Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to our beloved Sarah, whose love, laughter, and light will always be part of us. We will miss Sarah's beautiful smile, which was contagious, and her big, warm hugs. She brought joy and kindness to everyone she met. And while her absence leaves an immeasurable hole, her spirit will forever fill our hearts. L
One of Sarah's favorite quotes was from Mother Teresa, who said "Spread love everywhere you go Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier ". This is the essence of how Sarah lived her life, letting everyone know they were loved.
Sarah is survived by her parents Richard and Rixena Toombs; brothers, Josh (Malissa) Toombs and Brian (Lori) Toombs; uncles, John Thomas, Jerry (Nancy) Toombs, and Phil Toombs; aunt, Jean Thomas, nephews and nieces, Maxwell Toombs, Emmett Baumgarten, Octavia Baumgarten, William Toombs, Ella Toombs, Mollie Toombs, special friends, Renee and Jessi Vannatta, Rhonda Hall, and her beloved pets Lucy and Luna. Sarah was preceded in death by her grandparents, Perry (Laverne) Toombs and Rixie (Lucy) Thomas.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson, IN.
Sarah's celebration of life service will be Saturday, October 11, 2025, 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or charity of choice.

Earlier today

Sarah was a light to everyone. She helped connect our street into a community through her Friendsgiving dinner parties, singing and playing guitar in her garage for all to hear, giving generous hugs and sharing her infectious laughter.
She will be greatly missed. Our condolences to her family and friends.
