Tammy Lynn Giancola, a cherished mother, devoted grandmother, and compassionate friend, passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on December 14, 1961, Tammy's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, strength, and creativity.
As a proud graduate of Pleasure Ridge Park High School, class of 1980, Tammy grew into a remarkable woman known for her independence and resilience. For many years, she dedicated herself to the care of animals, using her skills as a veterinary technician to rescue and nurture countless creatures back to health. Her compassion extended beyond four-legged friends; she had a profound love for family and was always the steadfast supporter that they could rely on.
Tammy’s gardening skills brought life to her surroundings, and her home was a reflection of her love for nature. She often found tranquility and joy in collecting antiques, each piece telling a story that resonated with her history and style. Crafting was another passion, allowing her to express her creativity and make treasured items with her hands that are now cherished keepsakes for her family and friends.
One of her favorite memories that will forever be held dear is the family tradition of visiting Otter Creek every October. This yearly escape became a cherished ritual, and today, many of her friends continue to enjoy the same experience that Tammy loved so much.
Tammy held her family close to her heart; her pride in her grandson was palpable, and her love for her family unmatched. She was a pillar of strength, and her laughter and kindness woven into the fabric of her loved ones' lives will be profoundly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey, Jr. and Bonnie Curtsinger; step-mother, Rita Curtsinger and sisters, Sharon Curtsinger and Debbie Curtsinger Whyte.
Tammy leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband, Vincent Giancola; daughter, Nina (Jason) Edwards; son, Vincent Ray "Vinnie" Giancola; grandson, Stephen (Kristina) Ray; granddaughter, Sky and life long friend, Rebecca Scott.
