Theresa DeLisa, age 79, a lifelong resident of New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, in Perth Amboy, NJ. Born on October 23, 1945, in Jersey City, she was a beloved matriarch whose warmth radiated throughout her extensive family and community. Theresa, known to her friends and loved ones as Teri, loved to dance, she loved walking on the boardwalk and getting ice cream cones, and she could also negotiate anyone down to a bargain. She loved good deals. Teri also loved watching movies and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. A skilled professional, Theresa dedicated her career to the trucking transportation industry, managing billing and accounts receivable with precision and care. Her diligent work ethic was surpassed only by her devotion to her family. When she wasn't working she spent much of her time taking care of her children and her husband.
Theresa is survived by her caring sons, Daniel & Jason DeLisa; her loving daughters, Michelle D'Agostino & husband Michael, and Kim Sambrowski & husband Joe; her devoted sister, Jean Festino & husband Rocco; her cherished godson, her nephew, Patrick Festino & wife Laura; and her adored grandchildren, Sarah & Christian D'Agostino, and Joey Sambrowski. And many nieces and nephews.
Theresa is predeceased by her beloved husband, Daniel Delisa Jr; and her parents, Chester & Helen Jankowski, her brothers Eddie and Chet Jankowski; her sisters, Vera Krok and Florence Jankowski.
Theresa's remarkable spirit will be treasured forever by those who knew and loved her. Her memory will be celebrated as an eternal source of inspiration and love.
