THOMAS ALLEN COOK
October 3, 1942 - January 22, 2023
Thomas Allen Cook passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2023, at the age of 80. Born and raised in Tennessee, he started college education at the University of Tennessee. Tom moved to Washington and finished his education at Washington State University with a degree in engineering. Soon after graduation, Tom began working for Pacific Northwest Bell as a manager. During his 30+ year telephone company career, Tom managed various departments. Tom worked in Seattle, Renton and Vancouver, Washington. During his last 8 years with the phone company Tom enjoyed working in Russia and Malaysia overseeing the creation of cellular networks in these countries. While working in Malaysia he met his wife, Rosie. Tom has two wonderful children, Tamara (John) Thomason and Matthew (Stacy) Cook and four grandchildren, Kayla (Sean) Fernando, Melissa (Ryan) Peltier, Maxwell (Marissa) Cook, Claire Thomason and 5 great-grandchildren. Tom also has a brother Terry (Wendy) Cooper. Tom enjoyed world traveling and had a passion for golf, basketball, softball, skiing and snowmobiling. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather Mildred and Ollie Cooper, his father Thomas H. Cook, and a grandson John Matthew Thomason. Tom will be greatly missed by his wife Rosie, his family and his abundant community of friends.
