Beloved father of Kelly (Patrick) Summers of Oswego, IL and Joseph (Catie) Stanton of Naperville, adored grandfather of Ashelyn, Brody and Ciara Summers, loving companion of Vicky Jones, devoted son of the late Joseph and Evelyn (nee McNichols) Stanton, dear brother of Mary Jo (the late Dave) McKeag, Kathi (the late Rich) Coulter, Trish (Jack) Joyce, Jeane Mudd, Joan (Jim) Izzi and Beth Stanton, fond cousin, uncle, great-uncle and friend to many.
Tim grew up in Bellwood, attended St. Simeon Catholic Grade School and was a 1969 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Westchester, IL. He spent over 30 years as a mechanic with Illinois Bell Telephone Company (which became Ameritech and is currently AT&T), retiring in 2006.
Tim was a former member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Naperville. Tim cherished his time spent with family and friends, whether that be attending grandchildren's events, family pasta dinners, poker nights, morning coffee with The Philosophers, or countless hours boating. He also had a passion for working on cars, which he did in his career and in his spare time with his grandson, son, and friends.
A visitation will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024, 4:00-8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville, IL 60540.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 13, 11:00 AM at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville.
Future inurnment: Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
