Mr. Tony Jay Manning, 64, of Stokes, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, after a four year battle with cancer. He is now resting in heaven.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 3:00 PM in Pinewood Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Michael Bayer. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:30 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Tony attended North Pitt High School and was self-employed as a brick mason for most of his life. He was also employed with Worthington Farms. He attended the 15th Street Church of God in Washington. Tony was the president of the NCGBA and enjoyed participating in poultry shows. He also loved to have cookouts with family and friends.

Tony was preceded in death by: his parents, Willie Ray and Leona Manning; brother, Gerald Manning; and sisters, Jean Davis and Ann Webb.

He is survived by: his wife of almost 47 years, Debbie Manning; sons, Kevin Manning and wife, Crystal, and Scotty Manning and wife, Krystal; grandchildren, K.J. Manning and Zoey Manning, all of Stokes; brother, Wilbur Manning and wife, Geraldine; sister, Gayle Nelson; sister-in-law, Edna Rollins; special friend Mr. Kincey Worthington; and his furbaby, Cooper.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the 15th Street Church of God, 336 E 15th Street, Washington, NC 27889.
