Charles Carroll Obituary

Charles Gene Carroll, 86, passed away peacefully into the presence of his loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 4, 2016. He was born September 27, 1929 in Waco, Texas to Troy and Jewell Carroll. He is survived by his loving wife, Ethel, of 59 years of marriage, and their four children: Linda Carroll, Ken and wife, Leslie Carroll, Cindy Sullivan and husband, Wesley, and Clay Carroll and wife, Lori. His brother Bill Carroll and wife, Paula also survive him. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His father, mother, sister, Peggy Stubblefield and grandson, Palmer Maphet preceded him in death. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1950. After earning a graduate degree from Baylor University and doing post graduate studies at Tulane University, he spent a life long career automating accounting systems in different companies and various industries. He was a member of Kingwood First Baptist Church, enjoyed singing bass in the choir and participated in outreach ministry. He had a love of history and enjoyed travelling when he could. Viewing for the public will be at 10:00am at Kingwood First Baptist Church in Kingwood, Texas on Thursday, August 11, 2016. The memorial service will follow at 11:00am at the same location. Graveside service will take place at 12:00 noon on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Bold Springs cemetery in West, Texas.
