Aubrey Rose Yarnell, 22, of Westerville, Ohio suddenly passed away on May 1, 2024 in a tragic accident. Her loss is completely unexpected, and her family is profoundly saddened.
Aubrey was born on May 12, 2001 to Steve Andrew Yarnell and the late Laura Elaine (Gerber) Yarnell in Columbus, Ohio. She was the youngest of three children. She was raised and lived at the Yarnell's Farm in Westerville, Ohio. Aubrey graduated from Westerville Central High School in 2019, where she was an honor student. She was currently a student at Columbus State Community College.
From a young age, it was clear she was extremely bright and that she had a strong curiosity and love for learning. Aubrey's interests covered a wide range of topics – from science to math to art. When given a chance to master a new topic she did so eagerly and skillfully. She was resourceful and she prided herself in being self-sufficient.
She was a talented artist. Aubrey loved to experiment with a variety of art methods and materials, including drawing, photography, and her own hair color. She enjoyed cooking and preparing food with others.
Aubrey was a joy to be around. She was kind, thoughtful, and helpful. You could find her often running errands for her family or playing with her nephew. We love her and we will dearly miss her peaceful presence, the endearing smile on her face, her witty sense of humor, and her ability to engage in meaningful and deep conversation.
Left to cherish her memory are her father, Steve (Jackie) Yarnell; sister, Ashley (Jacob) Fudale; nephew, Zane Fudale; brother, Brendon Yarnell; grandmother, Barbara Yarnell; grandfather, Michael Finnegan; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Yarnell; paternal grandfather, Gerald Yarnell; and maternal grandmother, Marsha Finnegan.
Friends and family are welcome to call on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. – Noon with a Funeral Ceremony at Noon at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 State Route 61, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. The funeral service will be live-streamed at https://www.facebook.com/SunburySFH/

I remember Aubrey when she worked as a barista at Starbucks. She would always greet me with a smile and always ask how my day was going? I would look forward to my daily Starbucks coffee and my daily interaction with Aubrey. I then had the pleasure of seeing Aubrey when she began working at the Westerville Community Center. There she would greet me with the same wonderful smile and always ask how I was doing. She was such a sweet, pleasant and lovely young lady. I will always remember he and be happy that I knew her. She is and will always be missed by many people whose lives she touched.
