Bertina M. Brothers, a beloved member of the Cincinnati community and a dedicated family matriarch, passed away on March 19, 2025, at the age of 100. She was born on January 5, 1925, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and nurtured a life filled with love, joy, and significant contributions to her family and community.

Bertina served as a bookkeeper for St. Dominic Church and the IRS, showcasing her dedication and meticulous nature throughout her career. Outside of her professional endeavors, she found immense joy in playing card games with her family and friends, always looking forward to spending quality time with her loved ones. Her energy and zest for life were evident, as she often shared laughter and camaraderie at the Delhi Senior Center, a place that brought her much happiness.

Bertina’s educational journey began at Mariemont High School, and she later attended the University of Cincinnati, laying the groundwork for her fruitful career. Her spirited personality was complemented by a deep religious faith and a remarkable circle of friends. A proud traveler, she explored various corners of the world, further enriching her perspectives and experiences.

One of her most notable accomplishments was serving as the President of the Delhi Seniors for 22 years, where she was a driving force in fostering community connections. Her efforts were recognized by the community, leading to a Proclamation of Bert Brothers Day in Delhi Township—a fitting tribute to her loving spirit and unwavering dedication.

Bertina was the nurturing mother of six children: Catherine (Paul) Wehrman, Louis (Rosemary) Brothers Jr., Mary Ann (Charles) Nortmann, Michael (Linda) Brothers, Deborah (Jeffrey) Snyder, and Barbara Brothers. She also cherished her role as a grandmother to Matt (Jonelle), Jeff (Johanna), Amy (Jonathan), Becky (David), Lou (Betsy), Mike (Connie), Joanna, Zach, and Nick, and as a great-grandmother to Alexa, Angelina, David, Hannah, Allison, Thomas, Betty, Bobby, Gavin, Meredith, Francesca, and Julian.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Joseph Brothers, her son, Joseph Brothers and her parents Fortunato Fieno and Adelina Di Michele.
