It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of US Army Sergeant Thomas Bitsoff of Alexandria, Kentucky, a veteran of the Army, 4th Division, 35th Infantry, 1st Battalion, C Company. Tom was a loving husband, devoted father, dedicated grandfather and cherished member of our community, who passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025 at the age of 81. Born on July 7, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of Nicholas and Catherine (nee Nicoloff) Bitsoff. Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra; his children, Jason Bitsoff (Katherine) and Melanie Pfeffer; his grandsons, Jackson Bitsoff and Samuel Pfeffer; his siblings, George Bitsoff (Rose), Patricia Henry (Richard), and Michael Manning; his brother-in-law, Denny Kohlsdorf (Ruthie); and many adored nieces and nephews. He will be deeply remembered for his unwavering positivity, wit, work ethic, passion for motorsports, and love of his family. He was a life-long Cincinnatian, graduating from Oak Hills High School and University of Cincinnati. Tom was the epitome of a community helper. He thrived as an entrepreneur as co-owner of Donray Television in Western Hills, providing service to the community for over 40 years. He was well known for his kindness and “fix-it” knowledge. Thoroughly entwined in the heart of the community, he never missed a chance to provide support, encouragement, and a bottle of water to the paper delivery person, Rumpke worker, UPS delivery person and anyone else that he noticed was working hard to be helpful to others. Those who wish to celebrate Tom’s life are invited to join the family on Saturday, August 30 at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home, 4619 Delhi Pike, from 9:30 a.m.- 11 a.m., a graveside service at St. Joseph New Cemetery, followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Houston Area Parkinson Society at haps.org or 2700 SW Freeway, Suite 300 Houston, Texas 77098 or 713.313.1621.
