Bruce Roth Obituary

Bruce was born in Evansville, Indiana on June 29, 1936 to the late Oscar C. and Veronica (Mann) Roth on the hottest day record to that date. He was a 1954 graduate of Bosse High School and went on to attend Evansville College graduating in 1959 with a degree in Elementary Education. Bruce participated in the ROTC program and entered the United States Air Force after college graduation. He worked for IBM for 16 years, followed by a career in real estate for 16 years before his retirement. Bruce was married to Bernice "Susie" Schulz for 32 years. In 1997 he married Joan Wintner. They would have been married 27 years on the 27th of this month.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Joan (Hudson) Roth of Evansville, IN; children, Matthew C. Roth (Kelly), Mark D. Roth (Joanna), Vicki S. Langford (Jerry), Sheri L. Markham; step-children, Cheryl L. Gregg (Andy) and Randy J. Wintner (Deborah); grandchildren, Celia Norton (Blake), Ryan Langford, Cornelius Roth, Lillian Markham, and Bernice Roth; step-grandchildren, Michael Wolf, Samantha Draughan, Raygen Wintner, and Rhett Wintner; great-grandchildren, Alison Draughan and Joseph Draughan. Bruce had a special relationship with his great-grandchild, Axel Gallagher, their greeting and goodbyes always involved head bumps. Bruce is also survived by niece, Becky Galica; nephew, David Roth; and sister-in-law, Joanne Roth.
Bruce was preceded in death by his first wife, Susie Roth; parents; and brother, Don Roth.
A celebration of Bruce's life will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. For those unable to attend, you may livestream Bruce's service by going to https://www.browningfuneral.com/live-stream/newpage.
Friends may visit from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 10:30 am until service time on Monday.
