Charles "Gary" Williams, age 76, of Millcreek, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 4, 1949, in Newport News, VA, he was the son of the late Clarence G. and Katheryn A. (Huster) Williams.
Gary was a loving husband, father, and pa. He cherished 51 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Barbara M. (Mogel) Williams. He took immense pride in his three daughters: Marybeth Kubinski (Adam), Lori A. Williams, and Sarah L. Palm (Ryan). His four grandchildren, Noah and Alex Kubinski, Madison and Andrew Palm, were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He was also blessed to share close bonds with many nieces and nephews who brought additional joy to his life.
A devoted patriot, Gary honorably served in the U.S. Navy, embodying a commitment to duty and service. After his military service, he built a remarkable 39-year career at General Electric, where he mastered multiple trades, working as a pipe fitter, wireman, and locomotive test operator, showcasing his exceptional skill and work ethic.
Beyond his professional life, Gary was deeply dedicated to his community. He served 19 years with the Kearsarge Fire Department, earning the highest honor of Fire Chief, a testament to his leadership and courage.
Gary found joy in preparing meals for family gatherings, ensuring no one left the table hungry. His laughter, storytelling, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Saturday, June 14th, at 9:00 a.m. at St. George Church, 5145 Peach St., Erie, PA, with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kearsarge Fire Department or the Erie VA Medical Center, in honor of Gary's legacy of service.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St., Erie.

To Barb and family my deepest sympathy for your loss. What I remember about Gary was him and my mom teasing and laughing together. I believe he worked at a gas station near us at the time. He always had a smile and will be remembered for his remarkable personality. Hugs and prayers to your family. Margherita

Dear Barb & girls, there are no words to describe Gary. Always happy, always kind, just a wonderful man. Blessed to call him my friend. My heart goes out to all of you. More than love & sympathy to you all. At least I know you girls will be there fore your mom in her sorrow. Lucky to have all of you. I can picture my Greg & Gary joking around together & chatting constantly. At least they´ll have each other! Love you all.
