Isiah Craig Fitzgerald, age 18, died Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born May 17, 2004, at Memphis, TN, to Craig Aundre' Fitzgerald and Shanna Nicole Abner, he had lived in Scott County most of his life where he was a 2022 graduate of Scott County Central School. An avid sportsman, he was involved in track, basketball and football. Isiah was his own person. Headstrong, confident, self-assured and proud and loud- he like to make his thoughts known. He loved video games and going to the courts to play basketball whenever he had a chance.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his brothers and sisters, Malaki, Levi, Karson, Nyisha, Deshee and DJ; his grandmothers, Janet Abner and Christine Fitzgerald; his furbaby, "Layla Bug"; his aunts, Selena Mims and Aundrea Fitzgerald; his uncles, Mike Abner, Kraig Mims and Chris Fitzgerald; cousins, Josie Mims, Sam Fitzgerald and Kristin Smith; two nieces, and many other relatives and friends; also surviving is his girlfriend, Paige Stevens.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Craig A. Fitzgerald, Sr. and Leland Mims.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at noon, Sunday, May 7, 2023, at the Scott County Central High School Gymnasium.
Interment will follow in the New Morley Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
Casket bearers will be: Malaki, Levi, Karson, Shelton, Uncle Kraig, Uncle Mike, Shawn and Tt Selena.
