Obituary of Johanna M. Conicello
Johanna M. Conicello
Johanna M. (Yemm) Conicello, 44, of Blue Bell, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Johanna was born in Abington, Pennsylvania, on October 6, 1980, the daughter of Terry R. and Danielle (McCarty) Yemm. Johanna married Daniel M. Conicello in 2015, he was the love of her life.
Johanna was a light in this sometimes dark world, and she will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. She touched the lives of so many people across multiple generations. Anyone who knew Johanna knew that her family and friends meant everything to her. She lived a life full of passion, competition, love, laughter, and strength.
Johanna lived in Blue Bell since 2015, having formerly resided in Fort Washington. She graduated in 1999 from Upper Dublin High School, where she was a standout student-athlete. As a multi-sport athlete, Johanna played field hockey, basketball, and soccer. She was later inducted into the Upper Dublin Athletic Hall of Fame. Not only was she incredibly talented on the field, but she also excelled in the classroom, graduating with honors.
She went on to attend Ball State University and Temple University and earned her Paralegal degree from Villanova University. Johanna played three Division I sports-field hockey, lacrosse, and most notably soccer-at Temple.
Johanna worked as a Paralegal for Kessler, Topaz, Meltzer, Check LLP in Radnor, PA, where she had been a valued employee since May 2010.
Her love of life was evident in the way she lived. She brought people together and represented others through her voice in mentoring and motivational speaking for Susan G. Komen, Relay for Life, and Unite For Her. For us, she truly was a pebble thrown into a lake, as the lives she touched act as ripples that extend far beyond just us.
Johanna was an avid yoga enthusiast, even earning her yoga instructor certification. She loved being in nature, whether on the beach in Cape May or hiking in the mountains. Her most special moments in life involved good music, a road trip, playing games with her family and friends, or simply sitting around a fire with Danny.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel Conicello of Blue Bell, PA; her parents, Terry and Danielle (McCarty) Yemm of Worcester, PA; her sisters, Jessica Yemm of Ambler, PA, and Kelly (Jim) Kelly of Ambler, PA; and her many nieces and nephews, lovingly referred to as her "niblings" by Johanna.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Upper Dublin Lutheran Church, 411 Susquehanna Road, Ambler, PA. Friends may call on Thursday evening, January 30, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the church, and on Friday morning, January 31, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the church, prior to her service.
Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made in Johanna's memory to Relay for Life or Unite For Her.
