John Austin Obituary

He was a graduate of Avonworth High School in 1963. Then enlisted in the Air Corp where he served his country and was a Vietnam Vet. He received 5 commendations and was especially proud of his Air and Space Outstanding Unit Award.
Johnnie had a good heart, a sense of humor, enjoyed life, his friends, and merrymaking. He especially enjoyed playing the drums in bands during his teen years and when he was in the service. Throughout his life, he was an avid hunter, fisherman and boater. Enjoying life to its fullest.
In 1980, he married the love of his life, Angie, a teacher at Shaler Jr. High and for 45 years was a loving and devoted husband, her business partner and her best friend.
Johnnie will always be in our thoughts and hearts forever. His memory will always bring a smile to our faces as we remember his crazy antics and silly jokes.
