Kevin Donnell Tuck (Ole KT) was born on May 25, 1970 to Larry and Patricia Tuck. The Lord called him home on July 20, 2024, after a long battle from a stroke.
Kevin professed his faith in Christ at an early age at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson, KY. Kevin loved the Lord and leaned on his faith during his illness. Kevin attended South Heights Elementary, North Jr. High, and graduated from Henderson County High School. He remained friends with several of his classmates but was particularly fond of the Class of 1988. Kevin enjoyed catching up with friends at reunions and other activities.
Kevin joined the U.S. Army after completing high school and was stationed at Fort Sill in Oklahoma, as well as Germany. Kevin's friendships reached across the globe from his service in the military. He and his friends continued to meet every few years to catch up and share stories from their time serving. After leaving the Army, with an honorable discharge, he returned to Henderson, KY. Kevin worked at St. Vincent Hospital, Evansville State Hospital, and the Youth Care Center prior to his health failing.
Kevin enjoyed being around people and never met a stranger. Starting as a child he had a knack for saying or doing things that would make you laugh out loud. He was naturally funny and quick witted and many of us believe he may have missed his calling as a comedian. If you spent any amount of time with Kevin, you definitely would have had a good time and left with your stomach hurting from the amount of laughter.
Kevin is preceded in death by his father, Larry Tuck, stepfather, George Tyler Jr., grandmothers, Leta A. Butts and Christine McGuire, and a sister, Crystal A. Tuck, whom he loved dearly. These two together were definitely a party.
He lives in the memories of his wife, Zerlinda Tuck, daughter Ka'Tora Dunn (Brandon) of Lexington, KY; sons, Kevin Tuck II (Allyanis) of Henderson, KY, Deon Tuck of Evansville, IN, and Anthony Tuck of Evansville, IN. Grandchildren Gran Tuck, Dawson Dunn, Stephen Dunn, Elias (on the way), Kanan Tuck, Kendrick Tuck, Kobe Tuck, and Layana Tuck. Nephew Jalen Tuck (Taelor), whom he saw as another son and Kadrian Tuck. Mother Patricial Tyer, Brothers Larry Tuck (Christina) and Byron Butts (Dallin). Stepsister Jill Tramill. Kevin also leaves cherished aunts and uncles as well as cousins that were more like siblings.
Rest on "Old KT!" We love you and you will never be forgotten.
The family would like to acknowledge Select Specialty Hospital and the doctors, nurses, and CNA's that took excellent care of him; First Missionary Baptist Church; and all of Kevin's friends that reached out during this difficult time.
Services for Kevin will be held at Sunset Funeral Home's Shepherd Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on July 25, 2024 and begin at 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am.
