Mr. Ronald L. Ford, age 67, of New Castle, Delaware, departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at AccentCare Hospice in Newark, Delaware.
Born in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of Barbara Marie Bladen and Harold L. Ford.
Before retiring, Ron served as the Group Leader in the Facilities section of the Custodial Department. The University of Delaware employed him for 28 years. He was a union member of AFSCME Local #439.
Ron's passion for Eagles football brought him either joy or frustration on gameday.
He will be remembered for living life on his own terms and his philosophy of a three-day workweek. Ron enjoyed discussing his opinions and life views, watching episodes of Gunsmoke, Law & Order, ESPN, riding motorcycles, playing card games, spending time with friends over a cold drink, and delicious home-cooked meals.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his four daughters, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, and a host of extended family and friends.
In accordance with Ron's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. We kindly invite you to share your thoughts, stories, photos, and condolences by visiting www.302funerals.com.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Williams Funeral Home and Burial Services.
