S. Lynne Grosskopf, age 79, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Wheaton and Batavia, IL, passed into eternal life on Monday, July 22, 2024. Born April 15, 1945, in Columbus, OH to the late Joseph and Grace Stevenson.
Beloved wife of 54 years to Jack Grosskopf, whom she married on June 20, 1970. Loving mother of Paul (Raechel) Grosskopf, Julie (Matthew) Leman and Benjamin Grosskopf. Cherished grandmother of Graham and Jack Leman. Devoted daughter of the late Joseph and Grace Stevenson and dear sister of the late Louise, Dorothy, Bill, John, Paul and Leigh.
Lynne resided in Ocala, FL from 1997 to 2024 and was a member of Cross Pointe Church. She was a resident of Batavia, IL from 1984 to 1997 and was a member of Cornerstone Community Baptist Church in North Aurora, IL. Lynne was a member of Highpoint Church, formerly First Baptist Church of Wheaton, and a Wheaton resident from 1977 to 1984. She graduated from Central High School in Columbus, OH, class of 1963, and attended Ohio State University and Columbia Bible College.
Lynne will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Her kindness and generosity will always be remembered. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, beadwork, and reading.
The family will be hosting private services. Interment will be at Naperville Cemetery.
