Bill was born July 22, 1942, in Elgin Illinois to Paul and Dolores (Timm) Siers.
His love of the outdoors and hunting defined his life. He raised, and trained, hunting dogs starting at a young age and hunted until his body told him it was time to quit. He was always the happiest when he was in the woods following his dogs in hot pursuit of game.

Bill was a carpenter by trade and was from the old school, do it right or don't do it at all. He and his father formed Siers Builders and built many residential homes and commercial buildings in the Elgin area over many years together. After his father's passing Bill continued to work on smaller projects until he retired.
He married Janet (Jan) Anderson in 1969, and they made their home in Elgin and later in Gilberts, IL where they raised their daughter Sue, and they spent over 55 years hunting, raising dogs, and enjoying the outdoors together. He will be especially remembered by his family for his tall tales.
Bill was especially proud of his daughter Sue and son-in-law Bob, both hardworking while raising a family. They are blessed with three children and nine grandchildren. All having a special place in Bill's heart.
Surviving is his wife, Jan, daughter Susan (Robert) Ziller, of Caledonia, IL, three grandchildren, Laura (Brad) Williams of Eugene, MO, Karla Ziller (John Frankland) of Poplar Grove, IL, and Lee (Hillary) Ziller of Genoa, IL.
