Chris Barbot was a fighter who won his battle with cancer and entered eternal rest peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the age of 71. Chris was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and has been a resident of Slidell, Louisiana for the past 42 years.
Chris was a graduate of Redemptorist High School, class of 1972, where he met the love of his life, Cindy Beaman Barbot. They were married in 1975 and raised 4 sons: Jason Michael (Christi), Jeremy Christian (Donna), Joshua David (Valiere) and Justin Joseph-Beaman (Cynthia).
Chris was a great story teller who could always make you laugh. He also loved to work on cars, woodworking, fishing and the outdoors, but most of all, just being with his family who will miss him dearly.
Chris also leaves behind 8 grandchildren: Evan (Sherry), Hailey, Ava Grace, Mason, Camden, Tristan Borden, Troy Gonzalez and Lilly Wismer, and 1 great-grandchild, Emery Grace. Brother to Brenda Flynn (Kenny), Beverly Roberts (Steve) and the late Linda Barbot. Son of the late Herman "Moe" Barbot and Joan Franz Barbot. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.
