Eva (Eve) Gertrude Bardin, 89, died peacefully on October 5, 2025 in Voorhees, NJ. She was born on May 1, 1936 in Yonkers, NY and was raised in Nassau, NY. Eve graduated from Columbia High School in East Greenbush, NY in 1954, and then earned a degree as a Certified Professional Secretary. Eve began her career with ARMCO (subsequently CONTECH) as a secretary in 1957 in Albany, NY before transferring to Atlanta, GA in 1975. She was a loyal and exemplary employee dedicating 47 years of service. She rose through the ranks and advanced to the position of Region Order Administrator before her retirement in 2004. Eve was a trailblazer, working in the male-dominated fields of construction and engineering for decades. Even though Eve loved the warmth and charm of the south (and considered herself a Georgia Peach), she decided to move to Marlton, NJ in 2015 to be closer to her sister, Lucy. Over the past decade the two of them spent countless hours together and grew even closer. Eve's greatest passion was her beloved dogs. Over the years, she was a doting dog mom to Ruffy, Brandy, Mitzi, Mandy, Meghan and Molly. Her pets brought her much joy. She was also a proud homeowner from her early 20s on, at a time when it was very difficult for a single woman to own property. Eve always strived to learn new things. She was a big DIY-er around the house and was an avid reader of personal development books. Eve is survived by her sister, Lucille Berigan (Bardin); nieces, Karen Berigan-Utter (husband George Utter, son Benjamin Utter) and Lisa Berigan (partner Dave Dahl); and nephew, John Berigan (wife Erica). She is preceded in death by her parents, Racine Bardin (Chadwick) and Winthrop Bardin; and siblings, Katherine Bardin and William Bardin. Eve will be buried in a private ceremony at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rensselaer, NY this week. Friends of Eve are invited to join a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 25th from 1-2:30 pm at Hope Church, 700 Cooper Road, Voorhees, NJ 08043. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Animal Welfare Association at 509 Centennial Blvd in Voorhees, NJ.
