Peggy Lee Hutchison Klein, 79, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, born January 18, 1946, passed away on August 20, 2025, following complications from a recent surgery. Peggy graduated from Mercy Academy in 1964 and enjoyed a long and dedicated career as a bookkeeper, first with the law firm Middleton and Reutlinger and later retiring from Jewish Hospital Heart and Lung. She was first married to Bob Lurie, with whom she was blessed with her beloved son, Daniel Lurie (Monica) of Louisville. She later married Charlie Tucker, sharing a marriage filled with deep love until his untimely passing due to illness. Peggy found love again and married Eugene Klein, with whom she shared a life enriched by travel, trains, birds, and their cherished pets, Snowball and Ducky. Their shared faith and dedication to community service extended to the George Rogers Clark Neighborhood Historical Society and St. Elizabeth Parish. Peggy is survived by her son, Daniel, and daughter-in-law, Monica; siblings Nancy Aronovitz (David) of Rochester, MI, Louis K. Hutchison Jr. (Nancy) of Louisville, KY, Tim Hutchison of Kennesaw, GA, Becky Gerardis of GA, and Mickey Hutchison (Joanne) of Perry Park, KY; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and members of the Lurie, Tucker, and Klein extended families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis K. Hutchison Sr. and Maurine P. Rogers Hutchison; husbands Bob Lurie, Charlie Tucker, and Eugene Klein; sister Patricia Mills; nephew David Hutchison; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Peggy will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Visitation will be held at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison Ave. Louisville KY 40204, on Wednesday, August 27, from 2:00 – 7:00 PM with a prayer vigil at 6:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 28, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 1020 East Burnett Avenue, Louisville, KY 40217.
