Robert grew up in Armada, Michigan, graduating from Armada High School in 1969. He received his Associate's Degree from St. Clair Community College. Furthering his education with a degree from The Detroit College of Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Wayne State University. Robert also enjoyed working with the United States Army, 906th Military Intelligence Unit and the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Pharmacy Technician in Detroit, Michigan from 1971-2011. Robert was also an active Mason.
May God Bless those who predeceased me: my mother and father, Earl Edwin Simpson and Virginia Anne Hagaman; my grandparents, Norris Wm. Simpson and Margaret Belle McIntyre, Abram Powell Hagaman and Florence Evelyn Crawford; and my son, Todd Christopher Simpson.
Also, God Bless my sisters, Anne McLaren and her husband, Carl and Margaret Hopper and her husband, Jeff and my brother, William Simpson and his late wife, Jan and their families. May God also Bless the mother of my son, Beverly Jean Swain-Goodman.
May God also place His Blessing on my nephew, Steve McLaren and his wife Shirley; my niece, Karen Cary, her husband Trev, their sons Blake and Austin and their families; and my niece Kim McKay, her husband Drew, their daughter Chelsea and son Liam.

Farewell Bob and God bless.
We will miss our eclectic, multi-talented, intelligent and fun friend. The stories of our beach days and nights that we could share are unlimited and the memories we hold are dear. We could always count on you to be there; your presence in the Ipperwash community will be missed. Thank you for all the fun and interesting adventures over the many years Beachfront Bob. It is with great sadness to learn of Bob`s passing.
We´ve come to know The Simpsons over the years way back when Bob´s parents, Earl and Virginia would come dine at our place, eventually introducing the kids, Bob, Margaret and Bill to Chinese food.
The Simpsons have always been truly a wonderful bunch,they're kind, warm and loving.
We´re going to miss Bob´s calm and cool demeanour. His knowledge and stories were always full of insight and interesting.
God rest his soul.
