THE FAMILY WOULD LIKE FOR EVERYONE PLEASE WEAR YOUR NORTH GASTON ATTIRE TO THE VISITATION IN HONOR OF TAMMI.....
Tammi Craig Rushing, a free intuitive, loving spirit and a dedicated physical therapist, passed away suddenly on April 25, 2025, at her residence in Bessemer City, North Carolina. Born on February 20, 1972, in Gaston County, NC, Tammi's life was marked by her unwavering passion for helping others and her deep love for her family and friends.
A proud graduate of North Gaston High School in 1990, Tammi distinguished herself as both the Homecoming Queen and Valedictorian. She went on to further her education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before obtaining her degree from East Carolina University in 1995. Her commitment to the field of physical therapy was profound; it filled her days with purpose as she worked tirelessly to improve the lives of her patients.
Tammi’s fervor extended beyond her career. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by the serene beauty of the North Carolina Mountains and the sun-kissed shores of the Florida Keys. She often remarked, “The mountains are calling and I must go,” a testament to her love for nature and exploration. The mountains held special memories for her, particularly those shared with her wife, CJ Wright, and their cherished son, Carter Rushing, alongside family and friends.
In addition to her family life, Tammi was known for her remarkable spirit and generosity. Among her proudest accomplishments was the gift of life she bestowed upon Stacie Wright, her kidney sister. This act of selflessness underscored her compassionate nature and her desire to give back to those she loved.
Tammi is survived by her beloved wife, CJ Wright; her beloved son, Carter Rushing, and daughter-in-law, Madison Moore Rushing and soon to be her first granddaughter; her father, Keith Rushing; and her half-brother, Jordan Rushing. She was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth Craig Lewis, and adored grandparents Bobbie and Tom Lewis, as well as her uncle, Johnny Lewis, and half-sister, Kayla Rushing.
Tammi's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched and the love and memories she created with her family and friends.
