Teresa "Terry" R. Almeida, a beloved soul whose vibrant spirit touched the hearts of many, was born on November 6, 1946, in Nogales, Arizona. She left this world peacefully on October 1, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, surrounded by the love she so generously shared throughout her life.
Terry was a proud graduate of Pueblo High School and further pursued her passion by attending cosmetology school. Known for her sassy and spicy personality, Terry radiated warmth and kindness wherever she went. Her selfless nature endeared her to many, and she was cherished for her loving way of being there for others.
Her greatest pride and joy in life were undoubtedly her family. Terry is survived by her two daughters, Michelle A. Almeida (Charles), and Mercy M. Castillo, (Robert). The love she cultivated continued through generations, as she is also survived by her grandchildren, Vanessa (Davey), Samantha (Jay), Valarie (Omar), and Robert, alongside 8.5 great-grandchildren. Each one of them was a testament to her legacy which was a legacy built on love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Terry's vivacious spirit thrived in the company of her loved ones. She adored spending time with her family and found immense joy in attending church services, embracing the community that were as dear to her as her own kin. Her evenings often included indulging in her favorite television shows, with "Golden Girls" holding a special place in her heart. She also enjoyed the thrill of chancing her luck at the slot machines at the casino, always with a smile on her face, a true reflection of her zest for life.
Her warmth and remarkable personality were complemented by strong familial bonds. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Helen, Olga, and Rudy, and she leaves behind a plethora of nieces, nephews, and friends who treasured her companionship and guidance.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Maria Rojo, and her sister, Jessie Hernandez. Their love remains a cornerstone of her memory, forever woven into the fabric of her family's stories and traditions.
The lasting impact of Terry’s life, marked by her unwavering kindness and spirited nature, will echo in the lives of those she touched. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for her loving heart and the countless ways she made the world around her a better place.
A visitation to honor her memory will be held on October 9, 2025, from 5 PM to 9 PM at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson. The celebration of her beautiful life will take place on October 10, 2025, at Encounter Christ Church of the Nazarene, beginning at 10:30 AM, with a memorial gathering following at 1 PM at 11001 S Swan Rd.
As we say our farewells, we are reminded of the love that enveloped Terry during her life. A love that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
