A memorial service will be held at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 11am with Father William Menzel presiding. A visitation will be held at Ritchay Funeral Home on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 4pm to 7pm. Visitation will also take place on Saturday from 10am until the time of service.
Helen was born on August 23, 1924, in Wisconsin Rapids to Stanley and Jesse (Wolt) Clapp. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1942 and married William J. Hanneman on April 4, 1945, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
Helen enjoyed golfing and was the treasurer of the Lady's Golf League at Tri City. She was an avid needle pointer and liked to knit, travel and gamble in Las Vegas. Helen was a fabulous cook and will be remembered for all the Christmas cookies she'd make.
Helen is survived by her children, Jeanne (Robert) Muir, Susan (Allan) Glinski, Michael J. Hanneman, Arthur J. (Jean) Hanneman, and Nancy Paegelow; grandchildren, Christopher (Vicki) Muir, David (June) Muir, Daniel (Stacey) Muir, Ann (Phil) Hartley, Joseph Glinski, Jenny (Ben) Wustrack, Jody Hanneman, Jay (Undrea) Hanneman, Joy Hanneman, Eric (Tammy) Hanneman, Jordan (Jessica) Hanneman, Joel Hanneman, and Samantha (Jayson) Dunn; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Rebecca, Maria, Kate, Lou, Ben, Heidi, Paige, Lainey, Jane, June, Hayden, Joshua, Benjamin, Liam, Finnley, Seeley, Riordan, MaggieJean, Evangeline, Tullia, Declan, and Eanna; and great-great-grandchild, Atlas.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; and sister, Marian Henke.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Helen's name to Wood County Human Society or Assumption High School.

What a live wire, always a zest for life! Loved visiting with her when I worked at Arborwood. Helen was one of a kind and will be missed. So sorry for the family.
