Hugh Francis Bevier, 91, of Caro, Michigan left us peacefully on December 23, 2024. A beloved son, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Hugh was born on April 4, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan to his parents Hugh Cyrus and Louise Virginia Bevier. As a young man, Hugh served in the Korean War as a US Marine and later, as a proud veteran, it was rare to see Hugh without his veteran hat or jacket.
Hugh lived life to his favorite Frank Sinatra song "My Way". He enjoyed his passion for boating, cars, motorcycles, sports, guns and all his devoted dogs. Hugh was the "life of the party" and would always be noticed in any crowd because of his distinguished handlebar mustache. He loved spending time on his porch listening to his music with a cold beer and cigar, sharing conversations and memories with neighbors, friends and family.
Hugh's highlights in life were his children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. He is survived by his daughters, Laura Hood (Tim) and Dawn Tarpinian (Greg) and sons, Michael Bevier (Heidi) and Kirk Bevier (Lisa), as well as his grandchildren Stephanie Bouchie (Jeff), Scott Bouchie (Hayley) and Jonathan Bevier and great granddaughter, Cathryn Lopez. He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Louise Bevier.
Per his wishes, Hugh will be cremated and placed to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery. A private family service will be held at a later date.
