Margaret Jane Lowden Fisher, 86, of Naperville, IL, passed away on January 6, 2024. She was born on March 20, 1937, in Hinsdale, IL, to the late Virgil Edward Lowden and Helen McElwain Lowden. Jane was preceded in death by her father, mother, and her brothers, Robert and William Lowden.
Jane was a loving and generous woman who valued education and had a humble nature. She had a deep love for everyone she encountered. Jane will be remembered for her kindness and compassion, as well as her love of the Chicago Cubs.
Jane is survived by her son, Steve Fisher; her daughter, Alice Fisher Goodman, and son-in-law, Ted Goodman; her son, Bill Fisher, and daughter-in-law, Lorna Kirwan; her sister, Lois Lowden Lunde; her grandsons, Christopher Goodman, Ryan Goodman and Sam Fisher; her granddaughters, Lauren Goodman Merle and Iris Fisher; her great-grandson, Calvin; and her great-granddaughter, Sloane.
Jane attended Hinsdale Central High School (Class of 1955) and went on to graduate with her bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Zoology at Carleton College. She furthered her career with her certificate in Medical Technology.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jane's memory can be made to Loaves and Fishes Naperville.
